Why 10,000 wishlists matter
Wishlists are the most direct “thermometer” of a game’s launch potential on Steam. They indicate intention (“I want to follow this”) and help the algorithm understand that there is demand. The 30,000 target is relevant because it tends to improve the game’s presence in storefronts, lists, and internal recommendations.
Lugh World is an open-world creature-capturing game where creatures can be used as mounts to explore multiple islands, collect items, run your own small farms, and much more. It is an MMORPG with real-time battles, engaging characters, and customization of your own character.
Short timeline: pre-Alpha → Alpha
- The testing period pre-Alpha ended in 2025.
- In 2026, the period is expected to begin Alpha test (no date defined at this time).
- The Alpha will be distributed via Steam (instead of the proprietary launcher used during the pre-Alpha).
What changes in the game (the “2026 package”)
- Bigger Map and a broader world for exploration.
- Inclusion of the city of Miranda and the introduction of multiple NPCs.
- New variants and new designs for starter Lughs.
- New UI and a capture card system.
- Inclusion of floating islands as part of the exploration.
- A starring mechanic (not revealed yet) — a point to watch for in upcoming announcements.
The goal: 30,000 wishlists (and how it helps)
The 30k target is a “storefront milestone.” The greater the prior interest, the higher the chance the game will be shown to people who were not even looking for it. Sharing the game is very important so that more people become interested, which in turn supports the game’s own development.
